It's not
about being liberal or conservative anymore y'all. That is a hype offered by the fascist whores who want to confuse the people with lies while they turn this country into an aristocratic police state. Some people will say anything to attain power and money. There is no such thing as the Liberal Media, but the Corporate media is very real.
The issue with the twin study done with 22 twins by Stanford is that they are using LDL as a proxy marker after 8 weeks, when LDL is not a significant factor of future outcomes at all. ESPECIALLY AFTER ONLY 8 WEEKS.
LDL alone is an incomplete, inadequate marker of future health, and is also likely to increase if you include meat and fats in your diet. Which is why this study is contrived to push propaganda.

Paul Mason gives us a primer on a proper understanding of nutrition
This is an amazing summary of everything we have learned about human physiology and their diets.
Paul shares stories from some of his patients who benefited greatly merely by changing the composition of their diets.
At timestamp 10:35 Paul begins to explain insulin and insulin resistance.
At timestamp 12:30 Paul introduces a study that proves the relationship with obesity.
14:25 Paul introduces a study that proves the relationship with chronic diseases
15:10 Paul gets into a comparison between seed oils and sugar, posing the question "Which is worse?"
16:10 Paul introduces the Indian study of Northern vs Southern Rail workers. The Northern rail workers ate more Saturated Fat. The Southern rail workers ate more seed oils.
17:55 Paul explains the molecule and oxidation process of unsaturated fats because there is at least one double carbon bond that is highly reactive
24:40 Paul begins a discussion of Carbohydrates
25:58 Paul discusses how glucose in the blood is affected by insulin
37:25 Paul discusses what happens when you combine elevated glucose levels in the blood with seed oils
38:00 Paul introduces a study a relationship with the development of atherosclerosis
38:58 Paul discusses dementia, or type 3 Diabetes
40:30 Paul shows cat scans of a normal brain and a brain of someone with Alzheimer's Disease where the Brain is so insulin resistant that it is being starved of energy
49:00 Paul begins to discuss Bone Health. Newsflash: you need BOTH protein AND minerals – not just Calcium – to strengthen your bones
53:10 Paul mentions the importance of the precise ratios between calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, and Chloride
55:30 Paul discusses sleep disturbances like sleep apnea
56:20 Paul brings up the relationship between the tongue and sleep apnea
56:50 Paul shows an MRI showing the fat accumulation of the tongue
57:40 Paul discusses how the immune system is compromise by insulin resistance
58:36 Paul discusses the myth of Salt being "bad" and explains what actually causes high blood pressure
1:03:00 Paul mentions a meta-analysis of multiple studies that showed that there was an inverse relation between LDL and your risk of death in a large number of them – the higher the LDL, the smaller the risk
One thing I find interesting, the fact that the Dietary Authorities have since eliminated the upper recommended intake of Salt (Sodium). Don't worry about salt. Trust your taste buds. If you intake too much salt, your body will taste the saltiness as being too much.
I also liked how Paul brings up the discussion of the fact that omega-6, omega-3 type polyunsaturated fats AND ALSO Mono unsaturated are inherently prone to oxidation, which is why you should not cook with olive oil and keep it in cool dark dry place, because olive oil can also oxidize.
Oxidation creates toxic end-products that are inflammatory. Your body sees the molecules as fatty acids, but they don't act like fatty acids because of the oxidation, and thusly too many of these oxidized particles begin to overwhelm your bodies mechanisms to deal with them.
That is why you need and should predominantly rely on saturated fats. They are stable and do not oxidize.

Gary Taubes Interview
At timestamp 16:35
So they tell to you eat [Carbs] and then we'll give you drugs, and every study they've ever done is that the drugs don't make you healthy, they just make you a little less unhealthy ... so that anyone who gets diagnosed with diabetes is told to eat the toxin and take the antidote.

Zoe Harcombe, ex-vegan speaks
Zoe takes down and analyzes the falsehoods of the main 3 pillars that underlie the "plant-based" diet propaganda
Plant-based is healthier.
Wrong.
All plants have low-level toxins that humans have learned to mitigate by processing the plants. There are a number of nutrients that cannot come from plants alone and can only come from animal products, or necessitate using supplements. The bio-availability of some nutrients is also very poor from plant sources because humans distinguished ourselves from apes by becoming hyper-carnivores like cats and dogs, and not as reliant on plants. Vitamin A from meat based retinol for instance is practically 100%, but is likely only 10% from the Beta-Carotene you get from carrots. A lot of plant-based nutrients are also locked up into carrier packages by plants (like Phytic Acid) that humans cannot access because we don't produce the enzyme phytase like rats. Whereas all nutrients in animal products are highly bi-available by humans.
Plant-based is more humane.
Wrong.
All foods that humans eat involves killing animals. Integrating livestock and domesticating some plant species into a more long term farming economy actually kills far fewer species. The nitrogen run-off and top-soil erosion alone kills all kinds of wildlife.
Plant-based is better for the environment.
Also. Completely. Wrong.
One thing Mrs. Harcombe brought out in the video was that Termites excrete more methane than Cows burp. But seriously, monoculture agriculture and greenhouse production systems are not much different from CAFO's. Whatever argument you want to make here however must include the reality of how our current farming apparatus is destroying the top-soil and the available sources of fresh water.
At the end Mrs. Harcombe bravely presents the fact that the plant-based message is being promoted by huge agro-pharmaceutical-chemical companies.
There is no science behind any of the message however, and whatever studies that are used to promote the message are inadequate, compromised by confounding variables, or measure proxy marker outcomes (like LDL) that don't really associate very well (if at all) with the larger premise. In other words, they are using contrived studies to manufacture proxy outcomes that are loaded down with specious relevance and then pumping out "documentaries" to sell their self-serving paradigm

Brainwashing to eat in order to add revenue
The truth is that if we are eating in a way that creates metabolic balance, none of us has to eat an enormous amount of food. Eating three meals a day with snacks in between is NOT normal.

Testimonial
This is why diet matters.
"The burden of thinking about food [is] gone."
In my life, this is true. I remember the moment when I changed my own diet and was sitting in my room at 3pm realizing I did not consider or think of food for the last 6 hours. Ever since, eating is simple. I eat when I am hungry. I can go more than 4 hours without eating effortlessly without any thoughts involved. The scientific reason: my body uses fat stores and my liver creates ketones rather than being constantly bombarded with insulin and having to process carbohydrates.
