It's not
about being liberal or conservative anymore y'all. That is a hype offered by the fascist whores who want to confuse the people with lies while they turn this country into an aristocratic police state. Some people will say anything to attain power and money. There is no such thing as the Liberal Media, but the Corporate media is very real.
We humans are just the latest formation of the primordial slurry of life. Orchestrating ignorance is the pastime of the morbid rich (as opposed to the enlightened rich), which is why they fund large institutions that promote untruths and ignorance, throwing out verbal slurs and sponsoring the basal instincts of humanity in order to sustain this dysfunctional economic system.
When the circulation of money gradually accrues to a smaller and smaller slice of the human spectrum, we get a dysfunctional society. Those who lack power get marginalized and are pushed to the edge of their ability to exist within the framework of the social economy. This is akin to your blood circulation gradually accumulating more and more around your pituitary gland. The rest of the body organs gradually become starved of nutrients and oxygen in order to satiate the needs of the 0.001 percent of body mass.
It's time to cut the strings of the puppet masters, because they are blindly walking the human race into extinction, unwilling to see the delusion of their self-serving paradigm.
I'm looking at you Michael Bloomberg.

Let me go there
I use the word Rethuglican a lot to describe the critters who wear the badge of Republican as if that word had any value at all.
The world Republican means you honor the Republic, rather than undermine the constitution and constantly lie for the donor classes that pay for your Congressional slot.
It's really that simple.

Another reason why we need National Health Insurance
Okay so you have health care and want to use it to be safe and do what's right for the larger community but ...
After returning to Miami last month from a work trip in China, Osmel Martinez Azcue found himself in a frightening position: he was developing flu-like symptoms, just as coronavirus was ravaging the country he had visited.
Under normal circumstances, Azcue said he would have gone to CVS for over-the-counter medicine and fought the flu on his own, but this time was different. As health officials stressed preparedness and vigilance for the respiratory illness, Azcue felt it was his responsibility to his family and his community to get tested for novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19.
...
Fortunately ... He [only] had the flu, not the deadly virus that has infected tens of thousands of people, mostly in China, and killed at least 2,239 as of Friday’s update by the World Health Organization.
But two weeks later, Azcue got unwelcome news in the form of a notice from his insurance company about a claim for $3,270.

Which of course means very little incentive for people to get tested, which will only spread the virus more effectively.
The United States' Health Care system is not only expensive, but dysfunctional and broken. Don't listen to the water carriers hired by the media (owned by the pharmaceutical/hospital/insurance industry) to spew talking points and scare monger. Health care is not a sector of the economy that can be efficiently managed by the private sector because the perverse incentives to earn profits distort the system's ability to actually provide the service. In addition to being completely unable to address large scale systemic health issues -- like Diabetes, Cancer, and infectious diseases -- because more profits accrue by addressing the symptoms rather than addressing systemic causes.
Also. The cost of such a dysfunctional system is twice that of any other nation on Earth, from a fucking country that has more then 10 Standard Deviations of wealth than any other nation on Earth. Are we so blinded by ideology that we cannot get past this moniker of socialism? Getting better healthcare at half the cost ... will lead us to totalitarianism ?????
Hmm ... frankly I think the anti-socialist Rethuglican zealots are doing a fine job with that already.

I couldn't help myself
My response to a delusional youtuber who posts his NBA fantasy picks. I don't know the dude, but I respect his NBA knowledge. However he rubbed me the wrong way recently when he decided to inject his political biases on Warrior coach Steve Kerr and legendary Spurs coach Greg Popovich, when they "dared" to interject their opinions into social media.
Honestly skywalker, you are rather overly full of yourself. You like to cherry pick data to support your prowess, which is fine. We all do that.
However, your bullshit about coaches speaking truth and saying they should "shut the fuck up".
uh, say man do you like the ownership of our government by the chinese (bitch mcconnell) and Herr Trump (putin's bitch) ?
The impeachment clause debate by the constitutional congress hinged on something Benjamin Franklin said ... "What if a President was influenced by foreign powers?"
Do you give a fuck about that? For the record I despise the Democratic party establishment equally as much as the Rethuglican Party establishment. It's called Good cop, bad cop. Either way, we are fucked, but I think there is a huge difference between a cocaine addicted corrupt stooge aided by corrupt foreign oligarchs, and the normative corrupt politician. Do you really want racism, sexism, and creeping dictatorship?
Oh but the economy .... puffed up by the helium of stock buybacks. And yea when you destroy top dollar good jobs and replace them with low paying no benefit temp jobs, it can be portrayed that the economy is good ... but it rests on matchsticks.
Wake. The. Fuck. Up.

New Economic Thinking
This is Ha-Joon Chang, who is from the Confucius tradition, in that seeking the better question is a cultural tradition. I found this half-hour lecture somewhat refreshing
Mr. Chang brings up this human measurement of the economy called GDP, and equating economic "growth" with getting richer based upon the measurement models that calculate the GDP. For the uninformed, GDP is an abbreviation for "Gross Domestic Product", ie. an attempt to statistically measure the monetary value of all goods and services within a regional or national economy
You must always take internet commentary with suspicion, but here is one of the 116 comments to the youtube video stream that I found unique:
Globalization reduces citizens to serfs. It raises businessmen and politicians to lords and kings. It is in fact a return to feudalism, but under different names. Citizens lose their voice in the way their nations move in globalization. People become chattel and cattle. That is the problem.

An Honest discussion about the current Economy
Here is a discussion sponsored by Berkeley professor and ex Labor Secretary (during the Clinton Administration) Robert Reich.
The corporate stock buyback issue is discussed after timestamp 7:35. Corporations spending their profits to buy their own stock in order to limit the supply of stock, so that in the short term the stock price can get inflated and therefore increase the short term wealth of the CEO's and major investors who own the stock. Putting the profits into the employees, or even re-investing in the corporation's infrastructure -- which would spark up the economic production system -- did not happen.
Think about that. We are on the verge of a collapse more serious than the 1930's.
